Dennis from Buffalo
It's easy to see the logic in abusing someone severely and alienating them from all authentic, meaningful human contact before offering friendship. One fella that just won't go away is Dennis from Buffalo who still shows up at the gym every morning. I told him today that I'm past all this stuff and his appearance has no effect other my noticing in passing. Finally, he confirmed the little game, saying, "I can be your friend, John." Oh, that's so kind of you, Dennis. Thanks, but no thanks.
